A popular Christian pastor is recommended to you by one friend but labelled a heretic by another. How can you tell which is which? The Apostle Paul condemned one group who preached a false gospel as “accursed” (Gal 1:9). But when another group preached Christ with selfish ambitions so as to harm Paul, he responds by saying: “whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice” (Phil 1:18).
